Montelupone Birthplace of Corrado Pellini
In its contemplative and cosy lyricism, here is where Corrado Pellini was born on 16 December 1908 and where he painted, if only for a brief time. The artist enrolled in the Art School of Macerata in 1923 and in 1927, he moved to Rome to study art. The painter alternated work and study with great sacrifice. Silent and reserved, yet a very talented artist, this young man knew how to impress into his paintings the beauty of soft lines and delicate colourings as reflections of images from his hometown and its surrounding landscapes. The Art Museum in Montelupone is named after him. He died at only 25 years of age on 18 March 1934, leaving behind him an artistic patrimony of over three hundred works.
