In a hamlet of the same name lies the Sanctuary of Saint Girio, one of the most beloved places to the inhabitants of Potenza Picena. The church, built in medieval times, was reconstructed in the 16th century but underwent several alterations: the façade was rebuilt in 1936 and the apse in 1951. On the inside, one can admire the painting of “Saint Girio” by Benedetto Biancolini (1791-3). The paintings in the apse and on the walls are by Ciro Pavisa (1952) and in the crypt, there are interesting early medieval sculptural fragments.
