From Porto Potenza Picena, heading toward Montecanepino, you encounter Villa Buonaccorsi. Originally built in the 1500s, it was extended and restructured between 1745 and 1750 thanks to the intervention of Pietro Bernasconi from the school of Luigi Vanvitelli. Other buildings, storehouses and stables were added in the 19th century. The real gem of the villa is the splendid 18th century “Italian-style” garden, subdivided into five terraces, joined by a grand central staircase and protected by a thick wood. One can admire rare plants, fountains, water games, niches, obelisks of human figures and grotesque, mythological sculptures from the Venetian school. In the garden, there is also a theatre and a chapel. The villa is a popular destination for many tourists and in summer, there are musical and theatrical performances there.
